"Road trippin' with my two favorite allies
Fully loaded we got snacks and supplies
It's time to leave this town
It's time to steal away
Let's go get lost
Anywhere in the U.S.A."
- Red Hot Chili Peppers
It's 24 hours since the start of the race and all is well with Rob and the crew. I check in pretty regularly with the pace van, and everything is just humming along as it should at this point.
As I type this, Rob is climbing Yarnell grade, a brutal climb out of Congress, AZ and up into Prescott, AZ. Rob knows this climb well and will no doubt show it the respect it deserves.
At TS 6 in Congress, Rob was in fourth place overall. Again, at this stage, it's too early to project anything long-term from this, but any day that goes without incident and according to game plan is a good day on RAAM.
I will probably talk to the day crew after transition later tonight for an update on how today's brutal climbing is going.
Also, a reminder that real-time satellite tracking of Rob is available here, courtesy of My Athlete. If you check in and it has not updated in a while, it is because they are out of cell phone range, but it will update when they go through a town.

Hey Bill, Great to hear everythings going good with Rob. Just incase you didn't get the word at the team meeting in Oceanside, the Cross-Country RAAM "Hotel Hotline" is up and running. Michelle will be answering if you need anything "on the fly"for the crew. Number is 888-868-4541. Have a safe journey! Chris
Thanks Bill for keeping us "in the loop" - all up to date on Rob! You rock guy!!
