*REPORT FROM THE ROAD: 6-9-2010 5:30 PM EDT*

Day crew driver John Browne says they have begun leap frog for the day. The way this works is the crew will jump ahead of Rob and wait for him on a slight uphill. That way, if they have to pass off a water or a food bottle to him, he'll be going slow enough for the crew to run alongside him for the pass. Usually, Rob will dump his empties about about fifty yards down the road and then take the hand-off with the fresh food and water. This takes place approximately once an hour.

The rest of the time, the crew is texting or watching porn on their iPhones.
